2016 is gonna be one hell of an eventful year. Soooo many releases coming up and actually now that I compile a list of them, there’s not that many I’m looking forward to…

Warning: Spoilers for Throne of Glass and Six of Crows.

8. Demon Queen by Kassandra Lynn

Publication Date: 15th April 2016

Although it’s at the bottom of the list, I’m really looking forward to finishing the series. I don’t know how I’m gonna do that because as I’ve mentioned in my review of the first book, these books are unavailable in my country…that’s probably why it’s at the end of the list. Plus, I haven’t even read the second book yet XD

7. Demon Road: Book 3

The title ain’t even revealed yet. I’ve got a long way to go before this comes out and I haven’t even read the second book yet! Actually, it’s not come out but it’s Derek Landy. He’ll always have a place. Two actually.

6. Demon Road: Desolation by Derek Landy

Publication Date: 7th April 2016

I am a fan of Derek Landy and although the first book of the series weren’t quite up to my expectations, I’m still looking forward to holding this in my hands!

5. Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard

Publication Date: 11th February 2016

I’m a bit conflicted in terms of who should take the place of 5th, 6th and 7th but whatever. I’ll go with my instinct. (Which dictates that Demon Road: Desolation should go here…I DON’T KNOW.) I am not that hyped for this book but I’m still waiting for it! The ending of the first book made me want to continue the series but I can tell it’s gonna be like The Hunger Games: Mockingjay.

4. Bands of Mourning by Brandon Sanderson

Publication Date: 26th January 2016

NO OTHER WORDS. MISTBORN

Actually, I lied. There are more words. The only reason that this ain’t higher is because I’m waiting for the paperback copies to come out so I can buy it and read it at the same time. Hardback copies are horrible. Not read Shadows of Self either and I feel terrible…

3. Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare

Publication Date: 8th March 2016

I really really liked The Mortal Instruments and this is set 5 years after the end of the series. I think I read somewhere that Jace and Clary may make a return but they won’t be the main characters. But the idea of diving back into the Shadowhunters world is quite exciting…

1/2. Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo and Throne of Glass #5

Publication Date: Autumn 2016. I think it’s fair to say that it’ll be published in September considering the fact that their previous books were too.

WARNING: SPOILERS FOR THRONE OF GLASS AND SIX OF CROWS

Words cannot describe how hard it is to choose between this and Throne of Glass #5. I so desperately want to see Nina and Matthias again, and also watch Kaz fret over Inej but I also want Rowan…I ship him and Aelin so much but I’m also like, “HE’S MINE.” He and Aelin are official now! But now that she’s queen, what’s gonna happen??? ? I’m also afraid to read Crooked Kingdom since it’s gonna be the last book in the duology and Leigh has said that she wants a break from Grisha. ? I can’t find a cover for Throne of Glass #5 so we’ll have to deal with just one of them…My OCD does not approve.

    1. Ahhhh! Me too! I’m wondering if something will happen to Aelin that would make her immortal like the way something happened to Feyre in ACOTAR. You MUST read Queen of Shadows! IT IS SO DAMN GOOD! The ending of it was quite neat and could’ve been the ending to the series itself, but I am SO glad it is not! There’s gonna be a new Throne of Glass colouring book coming out at the same time, will you be getting it? It’s gonna be the first colouring book aimed at a teen audience!
